Picton Duplicate Bridge Club

Another few hands …

The Picton Duplicate Bridge Club has been using the Town Hall for over 30 years. The Club meets every Monday afternoon at 12:30 pm until around 4:00 pm. Attendance is usually around 40 with approximately 50% of the members from outside Picton.

With the threat of the Town Hall being sold, there does not appear to be another suitable location – either because it is too expensive, has poor availability or lack of amenities. The Town Hall is the perfect venue because it has an elevator for members with mobility issues and kitchen and washroom facilities.

Over the years the Town Hall has been a meeting place, a place to socialize and in the case of the bridge club a venue for exercising one’s grey matter.

If access to this facility is no longer available the club may have to disband.
